Epic Drives - Chasing 200 MPH in a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

    Really cool video...

A ZR1 in Germany: We're driving the fastest Corvette in history on the fastest roads on earth. Of course we're going to try for 200 mph.

almost as amazing as the cars themselves is how you can actually hit 200mph on a public road without worrying about a left lane hog.

    A+

Enjoyed it very much, and now I think I am at least mentally a step closer to planning my own European road trip.

Thanks for this. I now know what I'm doing when I go to Europe next year... renting a nice car and going for one hell of a road trip.

Loved the video. The guy is like an automotive version of Oz Clarke in a way he presents things.

I am talking about the driver, of course.
Taking on them mountains. One hill at a time.

Driving a well sorted car on a European mountain road is something every car guy should experience. Enough said.

Cool video. Made me realize how much I miss Germany. I lived quite close to that kind of Bavarian sceneries and they were a bliss to drive in.

Amazing. And... I would take the one with 3 pedals and more power Cavalier steering wheel be damned.

    That was great!

Didn't know Motor Trend did stuff like that. Very well done (compared to most stuff American mags put out).

As pro manual transmission as people are on here, I don't think it's that unrealistic to say you were worn out after driving on a road with 48 hairpins within a 10 mile span. That's pretty much going down to 1st gear every time in a Corvette with its heavily sprung clutch and shifter.

I wouldn't be, but I see your point. I was just expecting the same select few to come out with "zomg Man pedal jokes are lame. Real men drive what they want" only because the majority here would rally for the manual. Non-conformists, you know?
