what's your most memorable TCL moment?

    That's a good one.

  3. #38
Most memorable? Not sure if I have one specific moment, I never cared much for the mega threads, e.g. lumber jetta, enzodude, doin it wrong, all though I love the screw the man aspect of dollyman. No I would probably say any thread by vwlarry, peloton, or even obin and his porsche knowledge of old. Possibly there is some personal holy grail of posts I don't remember where all three of them dropped some knowledge on unsuspecting loungers. Or for something specific whatever the first post was that lead me to Leno's Garage, I've watched all those videos at least five times. If I won the lottery there would definitely be a duesy in my garage.

    0.0....but only since 2007.

Quick - edit your above post (so as to not add to your post count) and give us your top ten threads of your time here.

    Hyper-Lurker reporting for duty!

I may not look the worst, but it took me a few years to actually make an account.

lol I am at 0.08 posts per day. I just don't post much. I just love the car info and watching people feed themselves to the undiscriminating fire that is TCL

I've been on here over 10 years with only 57 posts while visiting pretty much daily the whole time. I'm not sure there is any honor in this title but I'm proud none-the-less. Who knows maybe this will be the start of a posting binge. I actually have a name that car post for an odd car I saw earlier today that stumped me.

So can anyone beat my anemic .02 posts per day over 10 years?

Are you one of those guys that only posts drunk?

i lurk too. by the time i get around to catching up on the forums (usually late at nite), everything i wanted to comment with has usually been posted. you know, the usual...1.8t nevar loses, can it chirp 3rd?, lower it, etc.

    Re: FV-QR (bennyboopy)

I'm sort of a lurker. Most of my post count is from voting in polls.

Haha, no if I was a drunk poster I would be challenging for the most posts, being a sober poster however has limited me to my now measly 64.

Another lurker here, almost on a daily basis. That said, despite driving an emmmkay 4, I don't fit the stereotype of their drivers and am also not a dash stroker *gasp* I'd never heard of the term until I found TCL

I'm close, but you've got me beat. I'm at .67 just shy of 10 years registered...the second time.

    Re: Ultimate lurker? (Ethano1)

Might have you beat. I had an even older name that got erased during the great crash.

  27. #62
You do have me beat, but is that the only name you've used for the last 9 years?

    Re: Ultimate lurker? (Ethano1)

I'll pipe up. I've lurked for about ten years, but never created a username until I decided to sell the Fox. Most times I don't log in, just peruse the car news and laugh at the fools.

Well.. in my defense I created an account back in 2002.. cause I was considering getting a Luxury GT back then.. made like 20 or so post and then just lurked around the VWVortex.. forgot my password and the email account I had used I closed..

Afterward just lurked randomly.. then when Motive Mag started I started lurking more consistently and then recently someone made a thread asking about a particular car (a ProTouring Charger).. nobody seemed to have the answer so I ended my lurking streak and helped him out.. after breaking that cherry and a sudden influx of idle time combined with more accessibility to the forum I've been posting more and more..

-- Hating the new look.. but willing to give it a try --

Well then I relinquish my self proclaimed title as ultimate lurker and congratulate you sir. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who can visit the same site day in/out for ten years, only read the articles and not care about posting. I award you a bagel and if you are dethroned please pass that along.

I lurked for over 5 years, before I finally decided to log on.
    Worst decision EVER.
