Is this Audi a wide body?

My cousin said his Audi is a wide body S4. Curious, is it really?

You know a wide body doesn't mean that the car itself is wider, it generally just means there are more aggressive (wider) fenders or fender flares, but the WHOLE body usually not any wider.

That angle doesn't show off the fender width. However, you can see the rounded side sill sticking out. You only get that on widebody cars.

Yes, I know that. But in that pic, those fenders didn't look to me like they stuck any further out than normal. S4's have always had pronounced fenders.

People have done conversion with RS4 body parts here in the US as well

Anyways it looks like a stock b5 but the angle is really hard to tell.It looks like only the front fenders are wider and the rear is still stock. If so you are both right. It is and is not a widebody

Did he use Rs4 parts? Its like $8k+ to do the conversion. I have a b5 s4 avant and thought about it but it is $$$$$

It had French plates front and rear. However, it was also running a California plates in the rear. I ran the California plates through the DMV registry and the car is an authentic federalized RS4 Avant and even passed California emissions.

Note that the car was in Malibu Colony (home of multi-million dollar homes and more movie stars than you can imagine) so they clearly had the money to federalize it.

No, that looks like the yellow car below. The RS4 side skirts won't line up with the S4 rear fenders.

You can buy a rs4 package for the a4 or s4, i seen it done a number of times. I personally think your cousin needs to slap on some brushed aluminium side view mirrors to complete the look. All in all if thats a swap it is a wide body, you can see it on the side skirt at the back
