Is that that "coffee black and egg white" song?not one of my favs really ...
It's just Duritz bemoaning his internal demons and the walls that people put up ..
I've always wondered what this song was about, and forgive me if its about a first time experience [I'm not looking to get perverted here]. But I find that to be kind of a wierd topic for a band like the CC to be singing about. Anyway, if you know the meaning behind, please share. Thanks.

Colorblind is about allowing yourself to be completely vulnerable to your mate. Just opening up and exposing all your strengths and weaknesses to your lover. It is an amazing song.

Asking that question ("What is the meaning behind ________ song") to anyone but the artist who wrote the song will get you very different answers depending on who you talk to. One of the beautiful things about music is the fact that songs mean different things to different people, and sometimes these meanings will be completely different than what the songwriter intended.
At any rate, what I'm saying is, let the song mean whatever you want it to mean to you, and go with that.
That came directly from Adam Duritz himself Via their fan letter. My wife is a huge fan of theirs.I personally don't like to hear what the artist says is what their songs are about. I want to have my own interpretation of a song first and then I will read what they are about.
